Reggie Archer Selected by CaGIS

Grad student Reggie Archer is one of just three Cartography and Geographic Information Society student members to receive complimentary registrations to the ESRI User Conference in August; the only others were Kasey Asberry, San Francisco State University, and Paul McBride, Ball State University. The student ambassadors will man the CaGIS information booth at the conference, to be held in San Diego.

According to its web site, “The mission of the Cartography and Geographic Information Society is to support research, education, and practice to improve the understanding, creation, analysis, and use of maps and geographic information to support effective decision-making and improve the quality of life. The society serves as a forum for the exchange of original concepts, techniques, approaches, and experiences by those who design, implement, and use cartography, geographical information systems, and related geospatial technologies.” Kudos to Reggie!
