The Environmental and Water Resources Institute has selected Professor Hugo Loaiciga to receive the 2016 Arid Lands Hydraulic Engineering Award “For his substantial contributions to the advancement of arid-lands hydrologic research in areas including stochastic hydrology, globalscale hydrological processes and regional hydrogeology.” In selecting Professor Loaiciga for this award, the committee particularly noted his prolific research work. The award, which includes a plaque and cash prize in the amount of $450, will be presented during the World Environmental and Water Resources Congress in West Palm Beach, FL, May 22-26, 2016.
