erine Gautier-Downes is featured in the Council of University of California Emeriti Associations (cucea) newsletter, discussing climate change and her participation in the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP) international climate summit meeting in Paris.
COP21 is the largest international diplomatic conference ever organized by France. This event is part of the cycle of major UN conferences on climate change. Professor Gautier-Downes was at the meeting and offers insight into how effective or otherwise the CPO21 recommendations might be. Her article considers the matter in the context of the recent international climate summit meeting COP21. A summary article follows on UC’s role in mitigating global warming.
