Isi Ikhuoria recently contacted Professor Reginald Golledge to nominate him as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Centre for GIS, Social, and Environmental Research (GISSER), based in Benin City, Nigeria. Isi completed his MS with Golledge, Simonett, and Tobler in 1981 and went on to complete his PhD at the University of Benin where he is now a faculty member in the Department of Geography & Regional Planning. Dr. Ikhuoria is a founding member and Trustee of GISSER, a non-profit, non-governmental organization, based in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. The Centre was established in 2006 to provide multidisciplinary research and expert professional advisory services on GIS implementation for spatial data collection, analysis, and management—particularly for sustainable social and environmental management and the exploitation and conservation of natural resources.
