Lectures Honor Reginald Golledge

(Article from 93106, Vol. 20, No. 1; October 2009)

Reginald Golledge, professor of geography, was named the 2009 Faculty Research Lecturer, the highest honor that UCSB can bestow on one of its own faculty members. However, he passed away on May 29, before his lecture could be delivered.

In memory of Golledge, and to honor his contributions to the campus and to the field of geography, colleagues in the Departments of Geography and Psychology will present three lectures on Monday, November 2, in Corwin Pavilion (map here).

Daniel R. Montello, professor of geography, will speak on “Reginald Golledge: Early Career Research.” Helen Couclelis, professor of geography, will follow with “Reginald G. Golledge: Middle Career Research.” The event will conclude with Jack M. Loomis, professor emeritus of psychology, speaking on “Reginald Golledge: Late Career Research.”

The lectures will begin at 3:30 p.m. R.S.V.P. by October 23 to Kimberly Howorth at kimberly.howorth@ia.ucsb.edu or by calling Howorth at ext. 2877.
