Oliver and Maxine Chadwick hosted the holiday party potluck of the year at their beautifully decorated home on December 8th. They treated the Geography Department’s hardworking grad students, staff, and faculty to a wonderful evening of tasty food, refreshing drink, and merry mingling. The table was brimming with dinner dishes ranging from sushi to mashed potatoes to a giant pumpkin filled with pasta, and Dan Montello’s delicious ham made carnivorous party-goers’ mouths water. To finish it off, the kitchen was packed with sinful sweets. Luckily for us (and The Chadwick’s carpet!), the rain ended just before the party began, leaving it wonderfully clear and brisk. The great company of co-workers and loved ones, a warming beverage, and the blazing fire pit enabled the party to continue into the night. Thank you to everyone who came, special thanks those who prepared the festivities, and a VERY special thanks for the generosity of Oliver and Max!
