Thanks to a respite from Santa Barbara’s notorious “June gloom,” the annual Geography end of the year BBQ was a great mix of sun and fun—not to mention hot food and cold drinks. Dr. Chris Still headed up this year’s Geography Events Committee; Dr. Dan Montello (“Kiss Me, I’m a Geographer”) barbecued bratwurst, hot dogs, tri-tip, and veggie burgers with his usual flair; Beilei Zhang and Bernadette Weinberg (and husband Richard) organized the set up; Kate Rose and Christie Hanson arranged the delivery of two kegs and a case of wine; and Jason Davis, Ted Eckmann, and Jory Hecht helped with the clean up.
