The Geography Department is pleased to welcome Nea Alvarado Voss, our new Personnel Analyst.
Nea earned her BA from Cal State Northridge in Environmental Biology, and her Master’s in Education from UCSB. She spent several years working in the public school districts, both as a Science teacher and an Administrator. She also took a brief detour to work for a local start up as a General Manager and Accountant – a very interesting and valuable look into another world. Nea is a long-term resident of the Santa Barbara area, and has lived in Los Angeles, London, and Hamburg. She is very happy to be back on the UCSB campus and to be part of all it has to offer. In her spare time, Nea enjoys reading, cooking, and anything that gets her outside.
