Geography undergraduate Bill Slack has been selected to be the student speaker at the June 15, 2002, commencement in Math and Sciences. One speaker is selected for each commencement ceremony. (There are four ceremonies for the College of Letters and Science.) Each speaker talks for approximately five to seven minutes. Students from twenty-four majors will be participating, so the crowd Bill will address will probably number in the thousands. This is quite an honor for both Bill and for our Department!
Request: Could someone who attends please email the webmaster a photo of Bill at the commencement? (webmaster@geog.ucsb.edu)
