Ed Keller Becomes Affiliate


The Department of Geography is pleased to announce the affiliated appointment of Professor Edward A. Keller in the Department of Geography, effective 11/1/07. Dr. Keller, a Professor in the Department of Earth Science and the Department of Environmental Studies, received the Geological Society of America’s Don J. Easterbrook Distinguished Scientist Award in 2004. His research interests are earthquake hazard, active folding, and mountain building processes, as well as the study of river processes and fish habitat in the chaparral environment in southern California. Affiliated faculty in the Department of Geography participate in instructional activities, including serving on MA and PhD committees, but they are salaried by other departments or institutions. Geography currently has 10 affiliated faculty. Welcome to the Department of Geography, Prof. Keller!
