Jennifer Bowen is a virtuoso, both as our staff receptionist and as a harpsichordist (see the May 4, 2005 article). Her “Ensemble Aquila” specializes in baroque music performed on period instruments, and it will be giving a concert featuring French & Italian baroque instrumental music on March 12, 2:00 pm, at All Saints by the Sea, 83 Eucalyptus Lane, Santa Barbara. The program includes works by Marais, Forqueray, Corelli, Frescobaldi, Kapsberger and others. The suggested donation is $15 ($10 students & seniors).
Jennifer founded Ensemble Aquila last fall, and it currently consists of Jennifer (harpsichord), Temmo Korisheli (vocals), Andrew Saunders (viol da gamba), and Jason Yoshida (archlute, theorbo, and baroque guitar).
