Alumnus Edward Pultar (PhD 2011) recently announced his company’s latest developments, using the brainchild he and his brother created, Valarm (“Versatile Asset Locator and Remote Monitor”), a powerful software platform for collecting geo-located sensor data:
It’s been an exciting 1st half of 2015! Here’s the latest from Valarm:
- Drought in California? We’re remotely monitoring real-time water usage, flow, and water levels in wells using sensors connected to the Valarm Tools Cloud!
- Tank monitoring with Valarm? Absolutely. With a terrific local company we’re easily + cost-effectively monitoring their tank farms using long-range WiFi.
- How do you use Valarm’s APIs for getting your real-time sensor data to your endpoints? Here’s a tutorial with sample source code showing you how easy it is to use Valarm’s JSONP API for just that.
