A Warm Welcome to Alex Feldwinn, Our New Computer Network Techie

Alex Feldwinn received his Associates degree from Santa Barbara City College where he studied Multimedia with a visual emphasis. He went on to get his Bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University where he graduated magna cum laude with a major in Digital Media and a minor in Radio Television and Film.

He joined the UCSB Geography IT group in June of 2015 as our new Helpdesk Manager and Windows System Administrator. Alex grew up in Santa Barbara and currently lives in Mission Canyon with his wife (UCSB Chemistry Professor Darby Feldwinn), 2 dogs, a cat, 2 turkeys, and several chickens. Alex is also an avid aquarist, having a 220 gallon salt-water reef tank aquarium. He loves to travel, especially when it involves scuba diving. His most recent trips include Indonesia (2007); Egypt, Jordan, and Israel (2011); Alaska (2013); and, most recently, the Dakotas and Yellowstone National Park (2015).
