Students pursuing a PhD in this department may petition to add an emphasis in Transportation (contact Kostas Goulias in Geography goulias@geog.ucsb.edu), Cognitive Science, Environment and Society, Global Studies, Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS), Technology and Society (CITS) and Demography.
