Then you should come to UCSB’s first annual student chapter meeting of ASPRS.
What’s ASPRS? It’s the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (aka the premier U.S. remote sensing professional society).
Who’s invited? Anyone who is interested in remote sensing. Maybe you used it once in a class, maybe it’s your dissertation, maybe you just like Google Maps.
Why should you come? Learn about the benefits of joining our chapter:
- get connected (meet others who use/want to use remote sensing technologies, networking, job postings)
- get $ (lots of funding opps, discounts on awesome books)
- get educated (technical sessions/workshops, webinars, free journal subscription)
- get qualified (professional certifications, presentations at conferences and tech sessions, service)
At this meeting ONLY, we’ll be offering a limited number of 1/2 price student memberships to the mothership ASPRS. We’ll also be nominating individuals for our officer election. So join us and see what we have in mind for the year!
When/where is the meeting? Next Tuesday, Oct. 16th at 3:30pm. We’ll meet by the pencil structure outside Ellison Hall.
